Speed and impairment caused a head-on collision that critically injured a driver on southbound Interstate 75 at the ramp to Second Street in downtown Thursday, Cincinnati police said.

Cincinnati police said Andrea Collett, 48, was driving north in the southbound lanes near Second Street at about 10: 15 p.m. Thursday when her sport utility vehicle hit a southbound car.
Collett suffered critical injuries and was taken to UC Medical Center for treatment. Her current condition has not been released.
Three people in the other car were injured, one seriously.
The crash remains under investigation.
