Maurice Cowan, 54, killed in hit-and-run scooter crash on Kinsman Road in Cleveland, Ohio

CLEVELAND, Ohio '€” A Shaker Heights man died on Sunday in a hit-skip crash on Cleveland's East Side. Cleveland police say Cowan was driving his 2006 Kymco scooter eastbound about 4 a.m. on Kinsman Road. A car driving "recklessly" in the same direction struck Cowan's scooter, according to police. Maurice Cowan, 54, was pronounced dead in the middle of the street after being stuck by a car on Kinsman Road near East 130th Street. The other car kept going eastbound on Kinsman.
