Season was not seriously injured. Detectives continue to investigate the crash.

U.S. 62 Near New Albany Reopens After Fatal Crash

According to deputies, it is unknown whether either driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, or if drugs or alcohol are a factor.
An 18-year-old Johnstown man was killed in a car accident near New Albany on Tuesday, December 23. Matthew R. West was traveling north on Route 62 in Plain Township when he crossed the center line about 9:30 p.m. and collided with a southbound car driven by Christopher Season, 33, of Columbus. West was pronounced dead at the crash site. It is not yet known what caused West to lose control of his vehicle.
