Those who jog at dark should always run against traffic and choose well lit routes, the Sheriff's Office said. Joggers are encouraged to be visible by wearing white, yellow or orange clothing and to have reflective gear on.

She said she held the boy's hand and tried to speak to him but he was unresponsive. Larson commended the driver for responding well to the accident.
A 16-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition Wednesday after being hit by a car while jogging. The accident occured around 6:48 p.m. on October 22 on Swegle Road Northeast, next to Cordno Road Northeast. When the collision happened, it was dark and heavily raining, and the boy was wearing all black with no reflective gear. The driver remained at the scene.
