A van crash in Adams County sent seven people to the hospital, including four young children, on Tuesday. Now police are saying the driver fell asleep behind the wheel.

At least four people were airlifted by medical helicopter Tuesday afternoon from the scene of a one-vehicle crash in Menallen Township, according to state police.
At least four children were airlifted by medical helicopter Tuesday afternoon from the scene of a one-vehicle crash in Menallen Township, according to state police. A van driven by Leah Rudolph 33, overturned on Coon Road at approximately 3:47 p.m., said a state police spokesman. It was later determined that she fell asleep at the wheel. It was not immediately known exactly how many people were injured in the incident, but at least four were flown from the scene by two medical helicopters, Hicks said. The crash remains under investigation and state troopers are still working to determine what caused it. Initial radio dispatches indicated there were seven people injured.
