PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Pictures and candles are a somber representation of a fiery crash early Sunday morning that killed three women. A man says his brother was killed 13 years ago after hitting a tractor-trailer illegally parked near the same spot. It was traveling so fast that investigators say it temporarily became airborne before hitting a parked tractor-trailer. Stephanie Williams, a friend of one of the victims says, “Gia I knew from my friend’s little sister. I pass by this every morning, so I just wanted to pray, pray for the families.” It is a treacherous stretch of roadway, made worse by what investigators say was the illegal parking job by the tractor-trailers.

Speed was a major factor in the fiery crash of a car into a parked tractor trailer in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia this weekend that claimed three lives, police said. She died, as the two passengers in her vehicle. “She was everything… everything,” says Joseph Barton, “she was my best friend, we did everything together.” Barton says he met Amonie when she was 13.
