1 Dead after hit and run, police looking for vehicle

Lincoln Highway was closed in both directions for about three hours as police investigated the incident.

STRIKING VEHICLE FOUND IN FATAL HIT-AND-RUN INVESTIGATION

Caln Twp. Police Chief Joe Elias says, "Ke'asya was small in stature, wearing dark clothing. But the damage to the vehicle, I would be hard-pressed to believe someone didn't realize they hit something." 

Woman charged in fatal hit and run of 19-year-old

On Tuesday police officials thanked the Gray family for their patience while investigators pursued charges and expressed condolences for their loss. The Gray family lost another daughter to an illness several weeks before Ke-asya Grays’ death, sources said.

Gina Marie Bennett, of Coatesville, faces homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and related charges in connection to the Dec. 4 death of 19-year-old Ke’asya Gray.
Ke’asya Gray of Coatesville was walking west in the 3900 block of the Lincoln Highway at around 10:55 p.m. when she was struck from behind by a westbound vehicle that fled the scene, says the Caln Police Department. The victim was taken to Brandywine Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Nearly a month later, Gina Marie Bennett of Coatesville was arrested on a felony count of homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence and related charges in connection the Dec. 4 accident.
