David Whipkey, 42, killed in single-vehicle car crash on State Route 21 in Jefferson Township, Pennsylvania

A Nemacolin man died in an early morning car accident on State Route 21 in Jefferson Township. David Whipkey, 42, crashed into an embankment just after 5 a.m Thursday when he failed to successfully complete a left curve and exited the roadway, crossed both lanes, and crashed into the embankment. The vehicle then spun back onto the eastbound lane. Whipkey was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown into the back of the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
