16-year-old killed in hit-and-run

A 16-year-old was killed by a hit-and-run driver while walking home late Sunday night.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is asking the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle or driver who left the scene of a  hit and run collision that resulted in the death of a teenaged pedestrian in Saluda County Sun. night, Sept. 21.

He was walking home around 10:30 p.m. after spending time first at the Pine Hill Church in Johnston where his grandfather is pastor, and then his girlfriend’s house, said Saluda County Coroner Keith Turner.  
Tarik Coleman was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle while walking home late on Sunday, September 21st.
