Family searches for answers in fatal hit-and-run case in Ladson

The North Charleston Police Department is still searching for a van involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Ladson on Wednesday night. Authorities say it happened on Highway 78 at the entrance to Plantation Acres Mobile Home Park. Their family has been driving around the area looking for the truck that hit and killed his brother. The family of the victim has been searching for answers too. Man charged with hit and run death in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A Summerville man has been was arrested in a hit and run death in North Charleston last month. Medina was arrested after speaking with investigators at the North Charleston Police Department. Witnesses told police that a man driving a van turned in front of Martin and hit the bike and kept going. Twenty-eight-year-old Richard Martin of Summerville died after his motorcycle was involved in a hit and run crash on U.S. Highway 78 on Jan. 20. Police spokesman Spencer Pryor told local media outlets that 30-year-old Aquatin Guzman Medina has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
