Investigators believe the car was heading west on Spruill when it ran off the road and hit a power pole.
Driver killed in fiery crash in North Charleston identified
The driver, who was the only person in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Charleston County Coroner's Office identified him as Abdul Jamal Bryant, 36, of North Charleston.
North Charleston police said it appeared the car was traveling on Spruill Avenue when it left the road and hit a power pole.
