Troopers said a tractor-trailer was heading north on U.S. 15 and attempting to make a left turn onto I-20 westbound when a 2019 Chevrolet sedan heading north in the southbound lanes sideswiped the tractor-trailer.

One person was killed Friday when a car and tractor-trailer collided on a Midlands Road near Interstate 20, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The two-vehicle collision happened at about 2:20 p.m. in Lee County, said Cpl. Tyler Tidwell.
