Travelers Rest man killed when tanker, pickup collide

A tanker collided with a pickup on US 25 and SC 253 (FOX Carolina/ Jan. 29, 2016) A Travelers Rest man was killed and another was hurt when a tanker truck and a Dodge Dakota pickup collided in Berea early Friday morning. The crash happened just after 2 a.m. on White Horse Road and West Blue Ridge Road near the KFC restaurant. Troopers said the tanker truck was turning left onto Blue Ridge when it was hit by the oncoming Dakota. The driver of the pickup, an 18-year-old male, was entrapped and had to be mechanically removed from the Dakota, troopers said. The coroner said 27-year-old Joseph Bryant of Pine Log Ford Road was killed.
