Honea Path resident Deborah O. Bumgardner, 50, was killed early Tuesday morning in a single vehicle wreck near her home. She was driving west on Latimer Ridge Road in a pickup truck at approximately 1:30 a.m. when for unknown reasons she drove off the right side of the road and crashed into a tree. She was not wearing a seat belt and pronounced deceased at the crash site. Bumgardner died of blunt force trauma.
