Roman Kurylas, 94, dies in two vehicle crash on South Dakota Highway 44 in Pennington County.

The State Patrol says Kurylas was behind the wheel of a sports utility vehicle heading east on S.D. Highway 44 when he crossed the center line and entered the westbound lanes of traffic. Kurylas then crashed into the driver's side of a pickup truck pulling a trailer loaded with pea gravel. Authorities say Kurylas wasn't wearing a seatbelt and died from injuries sustained in the crash.
