One person dead following McMinn County accident

One person has died after a crash in McMinn County Sunday night.

Diane Harris, 61, was driving down a hill and lost control around a curve. Her car struck a tree just moments later, but didn't stop until it bounced back onto the road. The accident occured about 11:00 p.m. Sunday on County Road 130. Harris was transported to the hospital, but died from her injuries. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
