Theater-goers exposed to bear spray after getting out of movie in Lewiston, Utah
People exposed to bear spray after Saturday night movie in Lewiston
According to the Cache County Sheriff's Office, a Lewiston man found a pressurized can of bear spray in a garbage bin at his apartment at 15 South Main. Jamey Doshier, 31, sprayed the can into the air to see how it worked, Lt. Mike Peterson said.
Doshier's apartment is located about 100 feet away from the Lewiston Theater.
The spray was still lingering in the air when people began to leave the theater at about 8:45 p.m., and they were exposed to the substance. They returned to the theater lobby and remained indoors until law enforcement and haz-mat crews arrived on scene.
The Bear River Health Department was also on scene.
