Motorcyclist critically injured in car collision in Roosevelt

The driver of the car told police the motorcyclist "gunned it" in an apparent effort to get around him, but the car and the motorcycle collided in the middle of the highway.

A collision between a motorcycle and a car last Wednesday night on U.S. Route 40 in Roosevelt, Salt Lake City, Utah left the motorcyclist critically injured. Doctors are working on improving his condition so they can take him to a Salt Lake area hospital. The driver of the car who was ejected from the vehicle also suffered injuries and was taken to Uintah Basin Medical Center. However, the 11-year old girl who was a passenger in the car did not sustain any injury. Both drivers tried to avoid the collision but still ended up colliding in the middle of the highway and both slid through the eastbound lanes.
