Police: Pedestrian hit after reportedly racing cars collide in Danville

A female pedestrian was injured after two cars collided while reportedly street racing Friday afternoon, Danville police said.
A female pedestrian was injured after two cars crashed while reportedly street racing Friday afternoon. Jontay Edmund Coles of Danville faces felony hit and run and other charges following a wreck around 4:40 p.m. in the 400 block of Wooding Avenue. The 20-year-old pedestrian was treated at Danville Regional Medical Center and released. Charges are pending against the other driver, Eugene Glaze of Danville. Glaze was sent to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The pedestrian was hit after the two cars collided and left the roadway.
