A man was killed and several other people injured after a driver heading the wrong way down Highway 431 in Longview, Wash. caused a four-vehicle wreck Friday night, police said.
A man was killed and several other people injured after a driver heading the wrong way down Highway 431 in Longview, Wash. caused a four-vehicle wreck Friday night, police said. Around 6:40 p.m., someone called 911 reporting a vehicle driving the wrong direction on Tennant Way. Less than a minute later, police learned four vehicles had wrecked in the 500 block of Tennant Way and one person was dead. Brett Dawdy, 47, of Longview was killed in the crash. Dawdy’s wife and teenage daughter were seriously injured and taken to the hospital. A third passenger was treated at the hospital and later released. The driver heading the wrong direction was identified as 32-year-old Nichole McCaslin of Portland. She was taken to the hospital and later arrested on one count of vehicular homicide and two counts of vehicular assault. This accident is incredibly tragic and was completely avoidable.
