The crash occurred in the Martha Lake area on northbound I-5 at 164th Street Southwest shortly after 8 a.m.

William R. Milne was riding northbound on I-5 when he struck a Toyota Corolla driven by a 32-year-old Edmonds man. Traffic had been slowing down in the area when the crash ocurred, the State Patrol said. Milne was wearing a helmet.
The State Patrol had previously said that the motorcyclist was 55.
