Two injured after car falls off Tacoma embankment.

Two people were injured Sunday morning after their car fell 100 feet off an embankment in Tacoma, police said.

Two people were injured Sunday morning after their car fell 100 feet off an embankment in Tacoma. Just after 4 a.m., crews responded to East 35th Street where the car went off the road. A rope rescue team brought a man and woman in their 50s out of the embankment. The woman had to be put on a stretcher. Police said the woman had aches and pains and was taken to Tacoma General Hospital. The man had lacerations on his face and some scrapes. Fire crews said the two did not see the road had stopped at the location.
