Man dies in 2-vehicle crash on Bald Hill Road

The driver died at the scene, according to a news release, and the driver of the second vehicle – a 68-year-old man – was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office reports that a man was killed in a two-vehicle collision Friday in the Yelm area. Around 2:30 a.m. June 6, deputies responded to a collision on Bald Hill Road Southeast and 122nd Lane Southeast. A 25-year-old man was driving northbound on Bald Hill Road when his vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into a vehicle in the opposite lane. The driver died at the scene, and the driver of the second vehicle – a 68-year-old man – was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Speed was a factor in the collision. It has not been determined whether alcohol or drugs were involved. Accidents involving a vehicle that crosses the center line are particularly dangerous. After a serious car crash involving injuries, it is important to take these steps to effectively manage a personal injury claim.
