Granger collision sends driver to hospital

Alvarez’s 2000 Chevy K1 pickup was damaged and towed, as was Moore’s 2011 Peterbilt tractor-trailer.

At around 10:00am, Alvarez made a turn onto SR 223 and ran into the back of a semi-truck driven by Stephen Moore, 48. Alvarez was injured and taken to the hospital, but has already been treated and released; he will likely be cited with failure to yield the right of way. Moore was not injured in the accident.5 things survivors of a commercial truck accident need to know After someone is seriously injured in an accident involving a commercial truck, they struggle to deal with injuries, medical treatments, lost work and wages, and growing medical bills. Commercial truck accidents are more complicated than other types of vehicle crashes, since the resulting injuries are often more severe, and insurance coverage for commercial vehicles is often complex, involving multiple carriers with higher policy limits.
