Man killed in car accident southwest of Wapato

She was taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

On Wednesday afternoon, Munoz-Mendez was driving west on McDonald Road when he did not stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Lateral A, and collided with a car driven by Estephanie Lopez-Pena, 19, who was driving north on that road. While Munoz-Mendez was killed in the accident, Lopez-Pena was transported to the hospital and has already been treated and released. Check back for updates.
