At least four injured in two related crashed near the intersection of Corridor G and Cantley Drive in Charleston, West Virginia

Injuries reported after two crashes on busy highway in Charleston

The first occurred at just after 4 p.m. near the intersection of Corridor G (U.S. Route 119) and Cantley Drive. A person fell out of one of the cars when a door flew open after the impact of the crash. Police said a second collision occurred when a person got out of their car to help the injured in the first wreck but didn’t have the car in park and it hit an oncoming vehicle. Four people in that vehicle were taken to the hospital.

According to the Charleston Police Department, the four-vehicle crash began around 4:04 p.m. when the first vehicle spun out in the northbound lanes. A second northbound vehicle then stopped because of that crash, and was rear-ended by a third northbound vehicle. CPD says the third vehicle then went into the southbound lanes where it hit a fourth vehicle head-on.
