2 killed, 2 injured in 2-motorcycle crash in Lincoln County

Lincoln County authorities said two people were killed and two were injured in a two-motorcycle crash. The sheriff's office said deputies were called to the scene on County Highway H east of U.S. Highway 51 near Tomahawk around 9 p.m. The two on the westbound motorcycle were taken to a Wausau hospital. The two people on the eastbound motorcycle were pronounced dead at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. Daily Herald Media reported that investigators believe an eastbound motorcycle carrying a 67-year-old male driver and a 68-year-old female passenger crossed the centerline and struck a westbound motorcycle carrying a 59-year-old male driver and a 52-year-old female passenger.

Police believe an eastbound motorcycle carrying a Robert J. Dobbs, 67, and his wife, Josephine M. Dobbs, 68, of Richland Center, crossed the center line and struck a westbound motorcycle carrying Mark N. Coolidge, 59, of Baraboo, and Roxanne M. Johnson, 52, of Plover, according to the release
