A driver who who led deputies on a chase that resulted in a fatal wreck in Foley on Wednesday is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol, the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office said.

The Sheriff's Office said it suspects the collision happened when the driver who was being pursued — Steven Little — ran a red light at Alabama 59 and Azalea Avenue.

The Dodge truck that Little was driving collided with a car being driven by Ronald Ealey, 42, of East Azalea Avenue in Foley. The accident claimed Ealey's life.

44-year-old man killed, after he is struck by a vehicle, driven by Danny Pylant, 57, who was arrested on multiple charges, including DUI, while walking in Perdido Beach Blvd. in Orange Beach.

Spanish Fort man has been released from jail on bond after his arrest in connection with a weekend fatal accident.

Danny Pylant, 57, of the 9600 block of Kingfisher Court, is suspected in an accident that claimed the life of a 44-year-old Tennessee man in Orange Beach, police said.

The victim, later identified as Taylor Colby, 44, was walking near Caribe Resort, 28103 Perdido Beach Blvd., when he was hit Saturday night.

Kasey Waychoff, 19, a student at Oklahoma State University, killed, after she is struck, while walking on West Beach Blvd. in Gulf Shores, by a pickup driven by a drunk driver.

An Oklahoma State University student on spring break here was killed this morning after a pickup being driven by a drunken driver hit her, officials said. Kasey Waychoff, 19, of Flower Mound, Texas, was pronounced dead on arrival at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Baldwin County Coroner Stan Vinson said. She was hit about 1:45 a.m. as she walked across the street in the 1400 block of West Beach Boulevard. She was pronounced dead at 2:26 a.m.

Male pilot seriously injured, airlifted to hospital, after his single engine aircraft crashes and burns at the H.L. Sonny Callahan Airport in Fairhope.

A small plane crashed Saturday at H.L. Sonny Callahan Airport in Fairhope, sending one man to a local hospital.

The crash was reported around 2 p.m. when emergency medical responders were dispatched to the scene. The man who was flying the small Cessna has not yet been identified.

Officials said the Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department was still on scene around 3:30 p.m. The man was taken by Life Flight to USA Medical Center. A hospital official confirmed someone matching the description of the pilot arrived in their emergency room around 4:25 p.m.
