A Houston bicyclist has died from injuries suffered in a weekend hit-and-run accident, police said. Chelsea Norman, 24, was pronounced dead Wednesday at Memorial Hermann Hospital. The accident happened about 10:20 p.m. Dec. 1 in the 1600 block of Waugh Drive in the Montrose area, according to a news release from the Houston Police Department. Police said the cyclist was riding south on Waugh at West Gray when she was hit by an unknown vehicle. The driver left without giving aid. As of Wednesday afternoon, police had no witnesses or suspects, the release said.

A man was driving on the Katy Freeway early Saturday morning when he lost control of his truck and crashed, according to Houston police.

The truck hit a concrete wall near Westgreen Boulevard. Police said the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time, so the force of the impact threw him through the front window. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's identity was not immediately released.

Police said it's not clear what caused the driver to lose control in the first place.

Police have identified the woman who died in a crash early Friday near the San Pedro Avenue and Basse Road intersection as Senaida Delagarza, 43.

Delagarza was speeding southbound on San Pedro in her 2007 Nissan Sentra just after 1 a.m. when a 2006 Dodge Charger, driven by 35-year-old James Ybanez, pulled out of a private driveway, according to a police report. The Sentra crashed into the Charger and the Sentra's passenger side airbags deployed but the front airbags did not, according to police.

Around midnight, Krystal Singletary was driving inbound on 290 with her dog in the car when she lost control and hit a wall causing the car to roll.

She survived the crash and got out of the car because it was stuck on its side in the middle of the freeway.

At the same time a family driving on 290 didn't see the woman in the middle of the road and hit her, pinning her and the dog in between the two cars.

All outbound lanes of the Gulf Freeway at Broadway Street have reopened after a multi-vehicle accident.

According to Houston TranStar, the accident was occurred around 6 a.m. Wednesday.

At least four vehicles are involved in the accident.

All lanes reopened around 7:15 a.m.

No other information has been released at this time.

One person is dead after a head-on collision on FM 969, or Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard, near Nixon Lane. Police say it happened just before 6 a.m. Wednesday when the driver of a Kia drove east in a westbound lane. A 33-year-old man driving the Kia crashed head on into a gray pickup truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Police do not yet know if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash.

Westbound lanes of Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie have reopened after a fiery semi crash closed several lanes overnight. The accident happened at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes of I-30 a half mile east of MacArthur Boulevard. When Grand Prairie firefighters arrived on the scene an 18-wheeler was on fire. The driver was outside the big rig. Paramedics say he was alert and talking, he was taken to Methodist Hospital in Dallas for treatment.

A New Braunfels woman died last week after she was hit by a car at FM 725 and Zipp Road in Guadalupe County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Denali Molina, 25, of New Braunfels was in the roadway at about 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 27 when she was hit by a 1992 Toyota Camry heading eastbound on Zipp Road, according to DPS. Molina was taken to the San Antonio Military Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead just after 1 a.m., according to DPS. The driver, Beverly Peña of New Braunfels, is not being charged, according to DPS.

A deadly crash closed lanes of Interstate 35E at the US 67 split in Oak Cliff early Wednesday morning. The crash happened around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday night. Police say the truck left the roadway and hit one of the concrete columns supporting the bridge. The driver died at the scene, according to the Dallas Sheriff's Office. Texas Department of Transportation engineers say they've inspected the bridge and don't believe there's any structural damage.

Two people are dead after a late night crash in northwest Harris County.

The crash happened on Veterans Memorial near Camden Parkway around 10 p.m. Monday.

Little York firefighters and paramedics showed up minutes later and had to cut part of the car open to get to the trapped victims.

Investigators said two people died at the scene, but the driver and another passenger were rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital with critical injuries.
