A stretch of Interstate 95 in Flagler County reopened Tuesday evening after being closed for more than 13 hours when a driver was killed in a fiery crash that damaged the roadway, officials say. Florida Highway Patrol crews were called around 4 a.m. Tuesday to I-95 northbound near Palm Coast Parkway in Palm Coast in reference to a crash. Troopers said a big rig transporting fuel and a tractor-trailer collided. The truck carrying fuel exploded, killing the driver Christopher Mceuen, 41, of Jacksonville according to the FHP.

Five people have been injured, three seriously, in a rollover crash on I-95 near the Lantana Road exit, said a spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. Rescue crews responding to the 10:17 a.m. crash found that several people had been ejected from their vehicles. An initial report indicated that one person may had been ejected onto the Tri-Rail tracks, causing the rail service to be temporarily suspended. No one was found lying on the tracks, and a short time later Tri-Rail service was resumed.

A portion of Interstate 95 North in Delray Beach is closed Friday after a chemical leak.

At noon., two right lanes are closed near the Linton Boulevard exit. Traffic is slowed to about 30 mph and backed up less than a mile.
According to the Delray Beach Fire Department, a 55-gallon drum being hauled by a trailer was leaking polystyrene.

Delray Beach Fire Rescue said the spill is not serious or dangerous.

The scene of a deadly tanker crash on Interstate 95 just south of 45th Street is now clear following a night of traffic backups on the interstate, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. All lanes were reopened just before 11:00 p.m. Friday night, close to seven hours after the accident occurred. Warner Letterman, 41, of Greenacres died after the front tire of the septic truck he was driving blew out causing him to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a tree, said an FHP spokesperson.

A stretch of Interstate 95 in Flagler County will reopen by 6 p.m. after being closed when a driver was killed in a fiery crash that damaged the roadway, officials said.

In a tweet earlier on Tuesday, the Flagler County sheriff said, "NB 95 FROM PALM COAST PKWY TO US1 WILL BE CLOSED UP TO 24 HOURS DUE TO CRASH."

Florida Highway Patrol crews were called around 4 a.m. Tuesday to I-95 northbound near Palm Coast Parkway in Palm Coast in reference to a crash.

The right and center lanes of Interstate 95 Southbound in Yulee were closed for nearly 10 hours Saturday morning while officials cleaned up after a morning crash involving a tractor trailer.

Around 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning a semi carrying produce crashed in Nassau County, leaving debris all over the interstate near mile marker 371.

The Florida Highway Patrol said around 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning they expected lanes to be closed for several more hours and they were closed until after 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

A Lake Worth man and a West Palm Beach woman died Friday morning when they were thrown from their motorcycle over an Interstate 95 ramp, the Florida Highway Patrol said Saturday morning.

The driver was Timothy Jacob Pavelka Sr., 57, said a FHP spokesman. His passenger was Christina Michelle Debonis, 43.
Neither was wearing a helmet when the motorcycle crashed just before 9:15 a.m. Friday. The cause of the crash — and whether alcohol played any role in it — remains under investigation, FHP said.

A motorcyclist was killed when he rear-ended a truck on Interstate 95, fell onto the asphalt and was struck by a sport-utility vehicle Monday night in Palm Bay.

Edwin Sorto-Gonzales, 28, of Ranburne, Ala., died in the 9:05 p.m. crash, the Florida Highway Patrol reported. The wreck occurred near Mile Marker 178, midway between the U.S. 192 and Palm Bay Road exits.

Sorto-Gonzales was driving a 2004 Yamaha south on I-95 when he failed to slow down and struck the back of a 1998 Chevrolet pickup.

Northbound lanes of Interstate 95 were shut down due to a vehicle and brush fire in Volusia County Saturday.

Firefighters said one person died as a result of the accident.

Firefighters said the fire started around Mile Marker 258, just south of Daytona Beach in the northbound lanes of I-95.

Firefighters said a the vehicle ran off the road, hit a tree, caught on fire and the fire then spread into woods.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said one other person was injured from the accident.

-All northbound lanes of Interstate 95 are back open Wednesday morning after an earlier wreck near PGA Boulevard.

The wreck involving multiple vehicles happened around 8:21 a.m.
It's unclear if anyone was injured.
