Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNSuncica and Sejfudin Sejdninovic were riding in a Jeep on U.S. Highway 63 when the vehicle hit a patch of ice and Suncica, who was, driving, lost control. Both people sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital in Rochester. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNKassandra Keske was driving southbund on U.S. 169 when she lost control of her car on an icy stretch of road and collided with both an SUV and a pickup going the other way on the road. Keske died at the scene, and the driver of the SUV was hospitalized. The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNThe deadly crash happened at 6:22 p.m. on Highway 12 when a Chevy Malibu traveling westbound on Highway 12 and a 2002 Nissan pick-up traveling eastbound crashed head-on when the Nissan lost control on the icy road and crossed the centerline. Both vehicles wound up in a ditch. 37-year-old Fidencio Ramirez Rojas of Litchfield was ejected from the Nissan and was pronounced deceased at the crash scene. Juan Martinez Garcia, 44, Miguel Hernandez, 26, and Pedro Godoy, 43, were all in the Nissan and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNDeputies say 34-year-old Misty Petschl was driving on County Road 10 when she lost control of her Dodge Caravan and slid into oncoming traffic. Her minivan was struck on the driver’s side by a GMC Yukon driven by 59-year-old David Splettstoeszer of Waconia. Petschl’s 8-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter were also in the vehicle with her at the time of the collision, and they were all transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where Misty Petschl died around 9 p.m. Saturday. Her daughter, Jazmine, also later died from her injuries. The son, Spencer, remains hospitalized.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNA fatal accident happened about 5:50 a.m. Tuesday northwest of Faribault, when a car slid on icy Hwy. 21 into the path of another car heading in the opposite direction. Killed were the driver of the out-of-control car, Abdirahman Abdi, 35, of Noel, Mo., and one of his two passengers, Said I. Abdi, 34, of Kansas City, Mo. Another passenger, Rahma B. Ibrahim, 24, of Schuyler, Neb., was being treated at North Memorial Medical Center for serious injuries. The driver of the other car, Justin T. Francis, 37, of St. Peter, Minn., was not injured. The car from Missouri was heading west on Hwy.

Mankato, MNThe Minnesota State Patrol is identifying the four people killed Friday near Sleepy Eye on icy roads.
It happened on Highway 14 in Brown County just after 8 p.m. A 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix was headed westbound on Highway 14, going into a curve heading southbound, when it lost control and entered into the opposite lane of traffic.
It was hit broadside by a 1999 Dodge Ram headed northbound into the curve.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNTwo cars were totaled but no one was hurt after a school bus apparently lost control on icy roads in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning.
The bus was carrying 29 students from Jenny Lind Elementary School at the time of the accident. According to a witness on the scene, the bus was going down a hill on Dowling Avenue North near Sixth Street North when it slid into two cars.
The two cars involved were totaled and the front arm of the bus was sheared off, our photographer says, but no one was hurt.
The students were put on a different bus and taken to school.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNAn SUV ran off icy Interstate 94 Tuesday morning on the western edge of St. Paul and crashed, leaving the driver dead, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 7:35 a.m. on westbound I-94 soon after the SUV left southbound Hwy. 280, according to the State Patrol.
The man behind the wheel has been identified as Uriel Isodoro 29.
The patrol described the interstate as ice-covered at the time.
