Suncica and Sejfudin Sejdninovic were riding in a Jeep on U.S. Highway 63 when the vehicle hit a patch of ice and Suncica, who was, driving, lost control. Both people sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital in Rochester. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

At around 1:00pm, Blevins was traveling southbound on State Highway 76 when she lost control, likely due to the snow and slush on the roadway, and rolled over off of the road, leaving her dead at the scene.

A mother and daughter were killed and five of the woman's other children were injured in a rollover car accident on a snowy interstate south of Pocatello. Rachel Hollibaugh, 38, of Dietrich, Idaho, was pronounced deceased at the crash site on Christmas morning, as was her 14-year-old daughter, Tanessa Hollibaugh. The five injured children were transported to a Pocatello hospital. Three children were treated and released, and a fourth was still at the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. According to investigators, the mother lost control of a Ford F-250 pickup and the vehicle rolled.

Around midday, the driver of an SUV traveling on I-20 lost control and struck an embankment, which caused the vehicle to roll over multiple times. A 4-year-old child and three other people had to be transported to the hospital as a result of the crash, though the extent of their injuries is unknown.

Scott Gadsby, 46, of Parker was ejected from the 2000 Toyota 4Runner he was driving after losing control in the icy conditions and rolling over on E-470 south of Denver. The crash occurred in the northbound lanes at about 7:40 p.m. about one mile from Interstate 25, and Gadsby was pronounced dead at the scene.

At about 5:30am, a double-decker bus operated by Megabus was traveling on I-65 when it veered off the roadway and rolled onto it's side. Of the 70 people on the bus, 27 sustained minor injuries and were treated at the local Schneck Medical Center, though one pregnant woman who suffered a cut to the head was taken to a hospital in Indianapolis. Though investigation is ongoing, it is believed that weather, including flurries and wind, played a role in this crash.

A man and his son were driving east on Gilford when the man lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, and struck a tree. The man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The son suffered minor injuries. Authorities believe icy weather conditions were to blame.

At about 12:30am, Hanson's car departed the roadway, flipped over, and came to rest upside-down against a utility-pole. Though Hanson was wearing a seat belt, he died as a result of the crash. The accident is still under investigation, but hazardous road conditions such a black ice are believed to be contributing factors.

A car driven by a 22-year-old man from Gladwin rear-ended a horse-drawn buggy containing two adults and seven children. Five people inside the buggy were transported to a local hospital for their injuries. These included both 34-year-old adults, and 3 children ages 10, 5, and 8 months. The horse was also severely injured and had to be euthanized. Foggy weather conditions and alcohol were considered main factors in this accident.

At about 7:00am, a car driven by Stephan Ferenczy, 43, slid on ice that was on County Road 11A and rolled two times, ejecting Gert Ferenczy, who was not wearing a seat belt, and leaving him with critical injuries. Stephen and another passenger, Margit Ferenczy, were both wearing their seat belts and were uninjured in the crash.
