Juwan Toney was driving the wrong way on Maysville Road when the wreck occured. Police say he was not wearing a seat belt, and he sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Three others were injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Just before 8 a.m. Monday on State Highway 9 approximately one mile east of Whitefield in Haskell County, a 16 year-old boy from Stigler was driving a 1999 GMC pickup east when he crossed into the westbound lane and struck a semi on its side. According to Oklahoma Highway patrol, both the pickup and the semi left the highway and came to rest in a ditch. The 16-year-old driver was ejected from the pickup and killed, while his 12 year-old passenger was injured and airlifted to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where he was last listed in stable condition with a head inury.

Granados was first driving east on I-182 when she was attempting to change onto southbound SR 395 but failed to negotiate the curve properly and went through the median onto the northbound lanes of SR 395 before striking on oncoming car driven by Ruiz-Alarcon. Despite the fact that Granados was not wearing a seat belt, both her and Ruiz-Alarcon were ok after the damaging collision. Just before 10:00pm, a 45-year-old man driving on Highway 20 crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old man head-on. Both drivers sustained multiple fractures in the collision, but the 45-year-old man was knocked unconsious and had injuries that were considered life-threatening, while the 18-year-old man was conscious but still in serious condition. We will update this accident as more information is released.

Ty Rylander, 20, of Pittsfield, Illinois was driving southbound on U.S. Route 67 near CR 1150 N., which is Grant Street in Macomb, when his car crossed over the center line and into the path of a tractor trailer. Rylander was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed in the wreck. The semi driver was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured. Rylander was a student at Western Illinois University, and University Counseling Center staff are available for students and other members of the University community who wish to seek assistance.
