Police believe speed was a factor in the late-night, single vehicle crash in Prescott that left one man dead and another injured.

Authorities received multiple reports of a car crash just after 10 p.m. Thursday night. Mark Alling, 43, was pronounced deceased at the crash site. Authorities believe he was the driver. The passenger, not yet identified, was airlifted to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
