The single-vehicle crash happened shortly after 4 a.m. on the 710 at the 91 Freeway connector, according to the California Highway Patrol incident log.

“Our preliminary investigation suggested the vehicle was Traveling northbound on the 710 just south of SR 91 in an unknown lane and at an unknown speed and for unknown reasons veered to the right and collided with the attenuators,” she said.

Other vehicles then crashed into the wrecked car, including a semi truck on the shoulder that caught fire as a result of the incident.
