However, the driver lost control of the truck about a block away at Broadway and Alabama Street and struck a pole and a parked car. The truck came to a rest on the trunk of the parked sedan. The driver of the SUV also followed him to the scene, and was transported to a hospital for precautions. The truck driver then allegedly tried to run away from the scene before police arrived, but was quickly detained by an employee of a nearby car repair shop, a witness said.
