According to a BPD release, a car heading east on South Boulder Road hit a bicyclist who had ridden directly into traffic near Manhattan Drive just after 3 p.m.

The bicyclist was rushed to Boulder Community Health where they were pronounced deceased.

Police said the driver has been cooperative and distracted driving or impairment do not initially appear to be factors in the crash.
