One man is dead, five others are injured after a truck crashes into a canal

State troopers say the pick up truck was driving on 3rd Avenue NW, failed to obey a traffic control barrier and crashed into a canal. Investigators say 25-year-old Jeremiah E. Hernandez died at Physicians Regional Hospital. Three others were seriously injured and the remaining two only suffered minor injuries.
