Cyclist Killed In West Englewood Hit-And-Run
A man died after he was hit by a car while riding a bicycle in the West Englewood neighborhood Monday afternoon.
About 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Michael Joseph, 59, was biking west in the 1200 block of West 74th Street when a light-colored Chevrolet sedan struck him from behind. The sedan then fled west on 74th Street and then north on Loomis. Joseph was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced deceased at 1:46 p.m. The police Major Accidents Investigations Unit is investigating.
