Teen killed in Park Forest crash

Witnesses say it started as a high-speed police chase, but police are not confirming that, however, police will confirm that the car was stolen and that they responded to a car that crashed into a tree.

Police did not confirm any fatalities in the crash, but the Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed it was called to the scene.

Two teenagers were killed in a south suburban crash early Wednesday. At least one of the teens who died was 17, the medical examiner said.

The 22-year-old driver of the vehicle fled leaving behind two teenagers who died at the scene, police said. Family members identify one of the victims as Amari Clark, 17.

Jonathan Hurst, 22, of Country Club Hills, later went to St. Police say when he arrived at the hospital, he did not report the crash.

A teenager died at the scene of a crash in which a tree was split in half near the intersection of Western and Algonquin in Park Forest around 12-30 a.m. According to witnesses, there were three occupants in the car. One teen was deceased at the crash site, another person was transported to a local hospital in serious condition and the third person in the car fled from the crash site.

The police did this the chase never started on western they chased them out of east gate then when the chase first started they turn there lights on for atleast 3 seconds then turned them right back off then you heard cars going really fast then a big carsh then moments later a gun shot after that 2 minutes later we got a call our friends crashed at the front east gate me and other friends ran all the way there we were only a block over it was like a 5 minute run because the streets are pretty long but we got there as fast as we could but half way there as we were running past Algonquin School we seen about 4 park forest police cars just sitting there on the street in front of the school like there were there sitting talking to each other they were postion were all there driver Windows met up like there were talking or something and we kepted running to the scene and as we were going threw the town houses by the scene there were police in the town houses telling us dont come over there and if we did we would be arrested we were so hurt our friends crashed we didnt care we kept running to the scene and when we got there we seen the car all beat up the bumper was all mangled up like somebody rammed them it was one police on the scene when we got there then about 10 minutes later more police came we were just crying telling to woek faster help our friends out the car please and it was like they were just ignoring us telling us to stay back past the railing and after that made us go all the way across the street by the liquor store but we still came back because these are child hood friends we wanted to see if they were alright me and all.my friends that was there stayed on the scene until sunrise watch them take our friends away pick one upout the grass and towed the other away in the car didnt even have enough respect to work on the car to get him out to aleast put him in a body bag
