Police in northwestern Indiana said a woman was airlifted to a Chicago hospital after a Jeep crashed into a medical building, trapping her beneath the vehicle for about an hour.

A Portage man was taken into custody Friday after he drove into a business and trapped a woman under his car for almost 40 minutes.
A jeep crashed into the offices of Orthopedic & Balance Therapy Specialists, trapping a woman beneath the vehicle for around an hour. Emergency crews had to extricate her before she could be flown to a hospital in Chicago for treatment. Her condition is not currently known, and her identity hasn't been released. The driver of the jeep, identified as Bernard Nygra, 68, had a blood alcohol content of over .15 percent and was arrested.
