Names of victims in high-speed crash released

According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, witnesses say a van was going around 100 mph westbound on 63rd South. A traffic sign shows the speed limit there is 45 mph.

Witnesses report speeds of more than 100+ mph in deadly head-on crash

When the vehicle drove over the railroad tracks, it went airborne, striking an eastbound vehicle head-on. The driver of a minivan, a man in his mid-30s, and a driver of the other vehicle, a woman in her late-70s, died on the scene.

Two killed in crash near Haysville

Both vehicles ended up in a ditch.   Deputies said the van also struck a pickup, but the people in the truck were not hurt.
