The driver of the Jeep, a 22-year-old man, was not injured and stayed at the scene, the release said.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said a man riding a moped ran a stop sign at Owens Avenue and Linn Lane and was hit by a 1998 Jeep Cherokee just before 4 a.m.
Scooter driver Michael Jay Miner, 45, died in a Las Vegas collision at 4 a.m. Sunday morning. Miner was pronounced deceased at the crash site at East Owens Avenue, at North Linn Lane. The crash occurred when a Jonway scooter crashed with a Jeep Cherokee. Witness statements suggest that the scooter and the Jeep Cherokee entered the intersection at the same time. The Jeep struck the right side of the scooter, causing the scooter to turn over. Miner was ejected to the side of the road.
