Man charged after hitting cyclist in Asheville, police say

Police said the cyclist was hit at about 2 a.m. Monday on Merrimon Avenue, just north of downtown. The cyclist suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision, but authorities say they are not life-threatening injuries.

Cyclist hit by truck in Asheville, driver charged

According to the Asheville Police Department, officers were called to the 40 block of Merrion Avenue, just north of downtown, at 2 a.m. in reference to a truck hitting a cyclist.
