A Houston man died as a result of a one-vehicle accident on the Natchez Trace Parkway, officials said Wednesday.

Adams was driving a black Ford pickup and appears to have fallen asleep, crossing the roadway and striking a tree. Unfortunately he was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
