Investigation into Fatal Traffic Accident at 13900 State Highway 288
Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 13900 State Highway 288 about 9:25 p.m. last Friday (April 10).

The driver of the truck waited at the scene while investigators evaluated the crash site and gathered evidence. Police officials said he agreed to take a blood alcohol test.
According to witnesses, the victim, a male pedestrian, was attempting to cross the freeway from the median when he was struck by a silver Honda Pilot traveling northbound. He had apparently arrived at the area, near the intersection of Highway 288 and Almeda-Genoa Road, by car and parked in the shoulder to help his son whose car was disabled and also stopped in the shoulder. So far, investigation has concluded that the driver who struck the man is not at fault.
