Mom, teen killed in crash along Beltway 8

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas '€“ A teen and his mother died and others were sent to the hospital after a four-vehicle crash along Beltway 8-North late Tuesday. Deputies said the teen that died appeared to be on the way home from football practice. Harris County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Antoine at the beltway around 8:15 p.m. Inside the SUV, a teen was pronounced dead. The father and a second child were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Teen, mom killed in crash remembered at high school football game

HOUSTON - A moment of silence was held Thursday evening for a high school student and his mom after they were killed in a car accident Tuesday night. Kevin was a linebacker on the Benjamin O. Davis High School football team. "A lot of prayers to the family," said Kynnedi Brown, a Davis High School Student. "Join us in a moment of silence in remembrance of Kevin Scott, a Davis High School student," said the announcer over the loud speaker at W.W. Thorne Stadium. Relatives of the Thomas Family said that there are two younger sisters that were home at the time of the accident.

FATAL FOUR-VEHICLE WRECK SHUTS DOWN INTERSECTION OF ANTOINE AND BELTWAY 8 FEEDER ROAD

Deputies say the 17-year-old driver of a Dodge pickup truck ran a red light at the intersection, striking a Chevrolet Tahoe with a family of four inside. The SUV then struck two other cars on scene. Two passengers in the Tahoe, a 35-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy, both died. A total of six occupants from three of the vehicles were also transported to the hospital. The 17-year-old driver is also in the hospital, where he's listed in critical condition.
