Cement truck driver killed in fiery crash

A fiery crash killed a cement truck driver Tuesday in northwest Harris County. The truck was traveling southbound on State Highway 249 crossing over the Cypress Creek overpass when one of the trucks’ rear tires blew out, according to a witness. The driver lost control of the truck and crashed over the side of the overpass into the creek below, the witness said. The truck caught fire, killing the driver.

On September 8, 2015 at approximately 12:55 p.m. the driver, Daniel Miregi, was operating a 2005 International cement truck northbound on S.H. 249. The  vehicle had a blow out on the front right tire which caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
