Homeless woman killed by hit-and-run driver

'€‹HOUSTON - A reported fatal auto-pedestrian incident has shut down the West Loop northbound frontage road at Richmond. Some westbound Richmond lanes remained blocked as of 8 a.m. Police say they are still looking for the driver who hit the victim, who appears to be a homeless woman. A description of the hit-and-run driver was not immediately provided. Check back for updates to this developing story.

A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run accident along the 610 West Loop northbound feeder road at Richmond.A witness told abc13 that he saw the body of a female woman being dragged a short distance behind the vehicle that hit her. The driver then kept going.Police are looking for that driver, but do not have a vehicle description. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
