Mother dies in crash on way to pick up child

MONTGOMERY, Texas – A mother on her way to pick up her child from school was killed in a head-on crash Monday. The accident occurred off Watson Ranch Road around 3:30 p.m. The mother, who DPS officials said was in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, identified as 22-year-old Tyler Moore, was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center in serious condition. Erik Burse with the Texas Department of Safety said it’s unclear if alcohol was a factor in the crash, but an investigation is ongoing.
